On Android and iOS, you can analyze your past games and gain valuable insights right from your smart phone! Whether it’s a brilliant win or a hard-fought loss, ChessUp’s post-game analysis helps you break down every move.


Here’s how to unlock this powerful tool:

  1. Access Your Game History: In the ChessUp app, tap on the History icon to view all your previously played games. As long as the game is within the ChessUp app, users can select any game they want.

  2. Select a Game to Analyze: From your list of past games, simply click on the magnifying glass next to the one you want to review.

  3. Analyze the Game: Tap Analyze Game to let the app evaluate every position, move, and decision. In just moments, you'll have a full analysis of your game!

  4. Visual Summary: You’ll be taken directly to the game. Below, you'll find a graph summarizing the balance of power throughout the match—showing who was ahead and who fell behind.

  5. Detailed Stats: Want even more insights? Tap Details to see a game summary, including key stats like accuracy, blunders, and other essential figures that show how you and your opponent performed.


  6. Move-by-Move Breakdown: Review each move you made and see how the app evaluates it. Was it a brilliant play, a good move, or a blunder? The app will also show you the best possible move, indicated by a green arrow, allowing you to compare and learn from every position.

  7. Need to jump to a critical moment in the game? Use the Key Moments button to quickly navigate through major blunders and mistakes so you can see exactly where things went off course.
