Discover Guest Mode with Android!

^{Our new "Continue as Guest" feature on Android (soon to be on iOS) lets users jump into the fun without the need for an account! With Guest Mode, users can explore and enjoy almost all game modes.}

Here's what users can access in Guest Mode:

• Full access to all game modes (except Online ChessUp-specific games).

• Progress is saved! Games will still be saved in the app, but in different tables, under Guest Games and Guest Board Games

  

• Settings are saved—The app retains general settings and time variant settings for all signed in users and 1 guest user.

When Will You Be Asked to Sign In?

^{There are a few moments in the app where certain features require a ChessUp account, though creating one is completely optional! In these cases, a helpful prompt will appear, offering two choices:}

• Sign In: Takes users directly to the login page.
• Cancel: Simply dismisses the prompt.

^{These moments include:}

• Navigating to Settings and trying to edit your profile
• Accessing the Friends feature from Settings
• Starting a ChessUp Community game

^{A Quick Note About Guest Games}

^{While Guest Mode is a great way to get started, there are a couple of situations where your guest games could be lost:}

• Clearing the App Cache: Manually clearing the cache or reinstalling the app may cause guest data to be lost.
• Creating a New Account: If users decide to create an account later, the app will prompt you to upload guest games. If the user chooses not to upload them at that time, they’ll remain saved until they create the account and are prompted again.

Guest Mode is here to make it easy for users to explore the ChessUp app without the need for immediate sign-up. Whether you’re a parent wanting to test the waters or someone who just prefers quick access, Guest Mode keeps you in the game!
