How to Save a Game for Later on the Board

With ChessUp it is possible to save a game you are playing, turn off the board, and resume it later. This is a great feature that allows a user to finish a game on their own time. No need to leave the board on and drain the battery. Follow the steps below to take advantage of this advanced feature.

  • Firmly triple tap a piece on the a1 square.
    • If you don't have a piece on the a1 square simply place an already captured piece, the extra queen or even any other piece that is currently on the board (don't worry a move placed on the a1 square won't be saved in that position unless moving a piece there was a legal move).
  • The cyan (white side) settings button will blink indicating that the game was saved.
  • You can now turn on off the board.
  • To resume the game make sure all the pieces are in the same game position.
  • Turn the board on.
  • The squares will blink underneath the pieces in that position indicating that the game is restored.
  • Continue playing.

That's it! Enjoy playing your games on your own time without the worry of running out of battery.
