Load Game Position

With the ChessUp app it is possible to load any legal position to the ChessUp board. Follow the below steps to load a FEN string of a particular game position.

Load Game Position with a FEN String

1. On the Play tab, select a game between the AI Opponent or 2 Player
2. Setup a game with the settings you wish to play with and then press Start Game
3. When the game has started click on you avatar tile (it's where you picture/initials are).
4. This will launch a screen that has an input text box labeled Custom Fen String.
5. Enter the FEN string for the position you would like to load to the board. There are many FEN string creation tools and websites. Here is one we use a lot: https://nextchessmove.com/ You don't have to enter this FEN string manually as you can also scan the text using the phones camera or copy and paste it into the text field.
6. Press the Load Fen String button to load the position to the board.
7. The app will pop up a message saying the game will wait until you places the pieces on the board. You can hit the Start Placement button so you can see the game play screen. The phone will show a spinning wheel until all the pieces are placed on the board.
8. The board will light up indicating the locations of the pieces. Blue lights indicate white pieces and green lights indicate black pieces. 
9. Once you place the pieces on all the lit squares they will blink indicating that the board is ready to play a game.
