How to Take Back a Move
When playing on the ChessUp board you mind find you would like to take back a move (undo). This is possible with the app (currently beta iOS but coming soon to Android) and in stand alone mode (see related articles below).
How to Take Back a Move in the ChessUp App
On the bottom of the game screen you will see forward/backwards buttons.
They will be greyed out until some moves have been played. If you reach a point in a game where you wish to take back a move you can press the back button to the point in the game you wish to return to. You can press the forward button if went too far back. Then click your player tile which brings up a new screen. Press "Sync to Board". This will send the game position to the board. The board will light up the squares that are missing pieces. Blue indicates a white piece and green indicates a black piece. Make sure to match on the board what is on the screen. And that's it! You can continue your game from there.
In the below example the game went back two moves to before the white pawn captured the black pawn. Just in case you weren't ready to trade queens!
Click back button to go back to a previous position.
Click player tile which will bring up a new screen.
Click "Sync to Board" to send the position to the board
