How to Take Back a Move on the Board

Something that a ChessUp user might find the need for is the ability to take back a move. This is easily accomplished on the ChessUp board. If you are playing in stand alone move (no app) a take back can be done by moving the last piece moved back to where it moved from. The square the piece returned to will blink (blue if it was a white piece and green if it was a black piece) to indicate a take back was registered. There is currently an undo depth of one move (one ply). For instance if white moved their queen from d1 to d3 then realized it was a blunder they can move the queen back to d1. This must happen before black makes their move. Once black makes their move only black can then undo their move.

Deeper levels of undo are available when playing on the app (supported in iOS and coming soon in Android). See the related article below for more details.
